Morning Car Ride

Kids argue. All kids do it. It doesn't matter if they are right or not. Sometimes I think that they just like to hear their own voice. Take for instance this morning, I bought the boys breakfast on the way to school. Ty thought that Cash was eating his wrong. So he starts in, "Cash, that is NOT how you eat it!!" and Cash fires right back, "Yes it is!" and it starts. Back and forth they go until I can no longer hear myself think and I say something I thought I would never say before. "Don't make me come back there!" ;) Seriously, why does that work? Am I really going to come back there while I am driving? Anyway, it worked and they stopped. I just want one morning where they aren't arguing about something. It'll probably be a while huh? I also left both of them crying at school this morning. Ty has a bad habit of eating breakfast at home then when we get to school he wants to eat again. Well this morning the line was extra long and I still had Cash to drop off so I had to tell him "No!". I knew that he would be eating lunch in 3 hours and that he would be perfectly fine. I kissed him goodbye and started to walk away and that is when the wailing commenced. He turned 4 yesterday, why is he still stuck in the terrible two's? When Cash and I got back to the car he let me know very quickly that he was mad too! He wanted a chocolate milk from bubba's school. In the midst of all of this chaos with my children being unhappy, I still remember Isaiah 41:10 "Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand." I am daily amazed at how much my Lord loves me!! Morning car rides may be rough, but I know that my Lord will strengthen me and help me endure!
